If you have recently had a little baby, you are likely still feeling that glow and bliss from bringing a life into the world. After a hike though, you will start to want to get back on track with your life and also with your fitness routine. Trying to lose weight after birth can be incredibly difficult when you have a child to look after, and finding the time to yourself for workouts might seem impossible. It’s a good job that you can do some of these easy workouts with a baby in tow!
Swimming
Swimming can be a great way to cool off and lose a lot of body fat very quickly. It is an exercise which targets the entire body and will allow you to get lean fairly quickly. The good thing is that for new mums you can join swimming lessons with your baby and exercise while you help your baby learn to swim. It can be a fun bonding experience for you both and it will also be a great way to teach them a new skill.
Dancing
Dancing is always a fun thing to do, and if you love to lose weight while listening to music this is an ideal type of exercise for you. You can take the time to learn dancing or join a class for mums where you will bring baby along and use them in your routine! It will be a fun game for your baby and a great workout for you to keep you fit and happy.
Yoga
Yoga is a relaxing exercise which focuses on building strength and flexibility in your body. It is a wonderful exercise to do to get you back into the swing of things, and you can take your baby along for the ride. Either find a video on YouTube or a class which lets you bring your baby and you can use them as a body weight to give you some extra strength during your routine.
At Home Workouts
There are so many different workouts you can do at the gym and at home, and online you will be able to find tonnes of workout routines which are focused on new mums and use your baby as a body weight throughout the exercises. It will be a great way to spend some quality time with your sprog while staying lean and building up your muscles. You can use them for sit-ups, curls, the bridge pose and loads more.
Walking With Your Baby
For a spot of fresh air, sun and exercise all in one, you can simply take a walk every day around your local park or a Country Park not too far away. Bring your baby’s stroller and push them around the park for an hour or so. This will not only be working your leg muscles with walking, but it will also be working on your arms when you push your baby around. It’s a great exercise and an excuse to get out of the house each and every day.
